Shoulder To Shoulder (STS) has been able to help the single moms and their families of Freedom Hall young men by mentoring their sons; sharing with them frequently what is happening in Freedom Hall, and soliciting their input for changes or enhancements to Freedom Hall.

Frequently STS receives food, clothing, shoes, furniture, and household items that we provide to our families as needed in addition to connecting our families to other resources. STS has developed synergistic relationships with The Salvation Army, the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, area churches and other organizations that are able to further serve our moms and their families in ways STS does not.

STS also supports our single moms through beautification projects, such as yard work and household repairs in their homes or apartments.

On occasion STS also helps our single moms by providing transportation to parent meetings or other special events. STS volunteers have also helped load and transport belongings when a family moved to a new home.
